LEEDS; THE STUDENT CITY

1. IT IS A NOTORIOUSLY CHEAP CITY FOR STUDENTS TO RESIDE

It is a well known fact that every university city in the UK differs when it comes to how much ‘spare cash’ students have to wave about. Northern universities often allow you to keep more of your loan than their Southern siblings. Hence why Leeds is one of the cheapest cities for students to live in. The Natwest annual report puts Leeds as the 17th most cost-effective student city to live, with a weeks rent costing £105 (on average). And, according to statistics from HSBC, the all inclusive weekly spend comes in at £212.
